Cultural Resources Program Manager (Chief of Cultural Resources)

This position serves the south Idaho parks (Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve, Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument, and Minidoka National Historic Site) as the senior principal advisor in the management of cultural resources and is responsible for all aspects of program development and implementation. Professional fields of study and expertise must be pertinent to the park's resources and themes and may include cultural anthropology, history, historic preservation, archeology, ethnology, historic landscape architecture, horticulture, paleontology, and museum operation. Duties include:
Directs an intricate program of cultural resources management activities that involve sensitive and complex issues that may impact a wide variety of parks. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with Native American and other traditionally associated groups. Prepares and coordinates the efforts pertaining to the management and protection of cultural resources. Makes presentations in parks, public gatherings, and professional meetings. Carries out program management duties by developing work plans and schedules, scopes of work, cost estimates, and proposals and/or grants to justify funding requests to accomplish goals. May supervise seasonal, temporary, permanent, or volunteer personnel. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-12/16/2019-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect either full-time or 40 hours per week. If a part-time work schedule is reflected, the hours must be annotated to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience. This interdisciplinary position may be filled in any of the following series:
Cultural Anthropologist, GS-0190; Archeologist, GS-0193; Landscape Architecture, GS-0807; Architect, GS-0808; or Museum Curator, GS-1015. You must possess one or more of the following Individual Occupational Requirements Archeology Series, 0193 General Anthropology Series, 0190 Landscape Architecture Series, 0807 Architecture Series, 0808 Museum Curator Series, 1015 - AND - To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must possess the following specialized experience by close of the announcement:
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Examples of qualifying specialized experience for this position include:
providing cultural resource program support and professional advice in at least one of the occupations listed above; participating as a professional member of a research team; providing technical assistance and serving as a subject matter expert in the conduct of research studies; planning or participating in the planning of cultural resource projects or studies; researching, developing, and preparing manuscripts for professional publications; performing collections management, registration, cataloging, research, preservation, restoration, and conservation of collections. Experience:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
